"The Radloff family I am researching came to the U.S. in July 1868 from Neusarnow, Cammin, Prussia. His name was Ludwig Johann, born 5 Sep 1831. His wife was Augusta Hanna Caroline Kloehn/Kline. They settled in Shawano County, Wisconsin where he was a farmer. They had seven children. He also had seven brothers and sisters, some of whom settled in Dodge County, Wisconsin. I have traced Ludwig back to his father, Michael Frederick Radloff, born 6 Oct 1802 and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Zimdahl born in 1800 -- both from Prussia. That's as far back as I've gone."

Cathie Tapscott is searching for her gr gr grandparents, George and Fredricka Radloff. According to their daughter Eda Radloff's obit, both George and Fredrika as well as Eda and her brother William Henry Radloff, were all born in Valdic, Germany.

This family is found in Germans to America. It lists their immigration to US aboard the ship "Gellert", sailing form Hamburg and Havre to New York, with arrival on the 31st of May, 1876. George's mothers first name is Augusta, as she is listed with this family in the 1880 census of Coal Valley Township, Rock Island Co., IL It states she is a widow and age 78. It is also possible that George had a brother named Fred. (extracted from [Prussia-roots-l] George Radloff, 31 Jul 99 as posted by Cathie).
